From office lobby to gallery space.
Two blocks from the waterfront and located in the heart of Seattle, WA. sits the Second & Seneca building.
For fifty years its stunning emerald dome and colorful beacon has stuck out across the Seattle skyline, becoming a home for countless brands and companies over the years. In 2018, the building sought to reimagine the lobby space and create a unique public art experience. The goal was to create a meaningful lobby experience, one that supports local art and community.
Twelve local artists were chosen, all with different backgrounds yet connected by their Seattle roots. Each artist was commissioned to make an art piece inspired by their vision of Seattle and through motion those pieces were brought to life. Throughout the year the building evolves and refreshes the experience, providing a large scale platform for local artists to connect with a new audience.
